2026-08-03 — Eight additional languages

  • Added complete Dutch, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese, and European Portuguese editions, including every image tool, guide, and trust page.
  • Added localized navigation, consent controls, metadata-cleaning messages, canonical and alternate-language links, country-aware root routing, and mobile layout tests for the new editions.

2026-07-30 — Local HEIC and HEIF input support

  • Added signature-validated HEIC and HEIF input to the cleaner, converter, compressor, cropper, and redaction tools. Pixels are decoded by a self-hosted browser WebAssembly module and are not uploaded.
  • Added HEIF EXIF inspection, JPEG output rules, memory and Live Photo limitations, real download and metadata-removal tests, and production security updates for Astro and PostCSS.
  • Changed the optional analytics choice from an inline panel to a compact first-visit bottom banner rather than a full-page modal. Visitors can choose essential-only mode or allow analytics and change the choice later in the footer.

2026-07-28 — Practical crop and redaction guidance

  • Added download-review checklists and concise answers about metadata verification, flattened output, cropped pixels, re-encoding, filenames, and sharing permissions to the crop and redaction tools in all three languages.
  • Replaced the one-off redaction guidance links with the same reusable related-guide cards used by the other image tools.

2026-07-27 — Feature guides backed by browser tests

  • Published detailed compression and visual-redaction guides in English, Korean, and Brazilian Portuguese, with direct links between each guide and its matching tool.
  • Recorded two target-size JPEG runs and one overlapping redaction run using project-owned fixtures, including final bytes, dimensions, quality, resize count, output pixel value, and metadata reinspection.
  • Removed the unfinished manual-browser follow-up row from the public compatibility table and stated the scope of the recorded Playwright engine results directly.

2026-07-26 — Published fixture evidence and content review

  • Added recorded JPEG, PNG, and WebP fixture results to the format, GPS, EXIF, and verification guides so observed behavior is clearly separated from illustrative examples.
  • Documented exact input dimensions, readable and private-field counts, cleaned-output checks, transparency and orientation checks, and why output byte size is not treated as proof.
  • Expanded the methodology with reproducible fixture-generation, downloaded-file reinspection, pixel-property, accessibility, and no-image-network test details.

2026-07-22 — Clearer privacy and cookie notices

  • Shortened the Cloudflare, Google, Gmail, and OpenAI explanations while retaining the processing purpose, data categories, retention, visitor choices, and the no-image-upload promise.
  • Removed internal implementation details from visitor-facing policy text and clarified that the two-year Google Analytics period refers to the default cookie expiry.

2026-07-20 — Consent-based Google Analytics

  • Added Google Analytics for page visits and broad tool-action events, using basic consent mode so the Google tag does not load and no data is sent to Google before permission.
  • Kept advertising storage, advertising user data, ad personalization, Google signals, and advertising-personalization signals disabled.
  • Added an accessible analytics preference panel, footer settings control, CSP allowlist, privacy disclosures, and browser tests that reject image-derived analytics data.

2026-07-18 — Brazilian Portuguese locale

  • Added Brazilian Portuguese home, cleaner, redaction, crop, conversion, and compression pages under /pt-br/.
  • Added pt-BR language links, metadata, preference-cookie support, aggregate cookieless usage events, and default root routing for visitors detected in Brazil.
  • Published the complete Brazilian Portuguese guides and trust pages after detailed editorial, factual, product-parity, and official-source checks.

2026-07-18 — Privacy-preserving feature statistics

  • Added cookieless aggregate counters for successful tool runs and download actions using Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine.
  • Limited every event to the feature action, page language, and Cloudflare-derived country code. Image data, filenames, metadata, exact file sizes, hashes, user IDs, and persistent identifiers are excluded.
  • Added strict server-side event allowlisting, same-origin checks, bounded request bodies, and browser tests that reject file-derived analytics payloads.

2026-07-18 — Search-intent and English discovery update

  • Used early Search Console query-to-page data to strengthen existing English guides for GPS removal, Exif terminology, format comparison, and output verification without creating thin keyword-variant pages.
  • Added concise search-result titles and page-specific descriptions while preserving the original guide headlines and Article structured data.
  • Added a static common-tasks section on both home pages with descriptive internal links to the four most relevant metadata guides.

2026-07-15 — Mobile table readability

  • Changed the home-page support matrix to stacked cards on narrow screens so format names, support status, and notes remain readable without squeezed columns.
  • Replaced Yes and No in format-support matrices with O and X, while retaining the conditional browser-support wording for WebP.
  • Kept guide and methodology tables as accessible tables with contained horizontal scrolling and word-safe column widths on small screens.

2026-07-14 — Redaction controls and Korean copy

  • Added per-area opaque color selection for solid covers and a 1–10 pixelation-strength control. Both settings are applied to the editor preview and the verified downloaded file.
  • Clarified the keyboard instructions so Alt + Up or Right enlarges an area and Alt + Down or Left shrinks it.
  • Shortened the Korean image-removal label and added deliberate line breaks to target-size compression guidance.
  • Added unit and Playwright coverage for custom cover colors, pixelation strength, Korean labels, accessibility, and no image-data transmission.

2026-07-14 — Target-size image compression

  • Added English and Korean tools that create JPEG, PNG, and supported WebP files at or below preset or custom maximum sizes when the target can be reached.
  • Added bounded JPEG/WebP quality search, opt-in resolution reduction, honest PNG limitations, explicit JPEG transparency backgrounds, and clear impossible-target results.
  • Added individual and batch ZIP downloads with -compressed names, plus final byte-size, format, dimensions, and removable-metadata verification before download.

  • Separated concise search-result titles and descriptions from the visible brand headlines on the cleaner, crop, and converter pages.
  • Added contextual links from the crop and converter pages to relevant guides and from selected guides back to the matching tool or methodology page.
  • Expanded truthful WebApplication and Article structured data with language, free-access, publisher, author, reviewer, and representative-image details.
  • Verified 38 public URLs in the sitemap with unique titles, descriptions, canonical URLs, and reciprocal English and Korean language links.

2026-07-12 — Local crop and conversion tools

  • Added single-image cropping with free, 1:1, 4:3, and 16:9 selections, zoom, keyboard controls, preview, verification, and local download.
  • Added batch JPEG, PNG, and WebP conversion with resizing, quality controls, grayscale, near-white transparency, configurable JPEG backgrounds, individual downloads, and ZIP export.
